"HOT WATER AND LEMON IN A BOWL" shouts the waiter as the ship's bell behind the bar is rung at Rodney's Oyster House in Yaletown tonight. I will be back to dine in this restaurant again!! Happy Hour is from 3-6 on Monday through Saturday and what a great way to get some amazing food at reasonable prices. They also have a Ceasar that they call a Zydeco something or other that is like no other Ceasar I've ever had. I'm actually not certain what they did to it but whatever it was....it tasted like more :) Finished a great meal with a shot of espresso vodka over ice and a cup of coffee as a chaser. Life is good!

Rodney's was our 1/2 way stop along the walk to GM Place to see the Celine Dione concert tonight and what a concert it was!! She belted out some of her best to a sold out house and during her costume changes she had a troupe of dancers who, according to the Host working at our gate, were better than the ones she had seen in Celine's show in Vegas. From the moment it began with the opening act of impersonator/comedian, Gordie Brown, to the final encore of My Heart Will Go On; it was a powerful show and she is an amazing performer!

The weather in Vancouver was perfect again today - I can't believe our luck!! The sun shone all day and although a jacket was probably a good idea there were a lot of people who didn't bother to wear theirs today.

In addition to putting over 15,000 steps on my pedometer, we checked out the inside of the Edgewater Casino and made a little donation while we were there. On the upside..... we had lots of fun in the process :)

Walking along the sea wall here has been unbelievable. With the weather being so good but with fall definitely in the air, the trees are all changing colour and everything is soooo gorgeous. It's times like this that Vancouver get it's reputation for being one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Watching George on The Hour tonight and have to think of something to do so I can commit online to his initiative of one million acts of green....David Suzuki and Alanis Morriset are speaking in support of the environment on his show tonight so it's a motivational program. Good job George!

Will be heading home tomorrow and am hopeful that the roads are good. While in the line up at GM Place tonight the people in front of us were from Kelowna and said that the Coquihalla was closed yesterday due to whiteout conditions.....hopefully it'll all be cleaned up ..... if not....we'll be looking at the Hope Princeton.

Till next time....
L
